Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course are; Teaching the conditions of physical textile testing laboratory, importance of fiber and yarn physical properties, testing methods and test equipments, evaluating of test results, determining the quality of the textile product

Course Contents
The physical structure of laboratory, standard atmospheric conditions, the effects of temperature and humidity on textile materials, conditioning and measuring the laboratory conditions, planning of experimental design and evaluating statistically, measuring of fiber fineness, length, strength, maturity, color, trash quantity, sampling of yarns for testing and preparing the test plan, measuring the yarn count in sliver, roving and yarn, measuring the twist quantity and twist direction, measuring of the yarn strength and elongation, measuring of yarn unevenness, finding the sources of yarn faults by means of yarn unevenness tester.
