Objectives of the Course
To teach basic computer usage features, computer on-off, use mouse and keyboard; Office applications (Ms.Word-Ms.Excel) and document-table, etc. To prepare; It is aimed to gain the ability of accessing the Internet and searching for information and using e-mail. With Microsoft Powerpoint®, it is aimed to gain practicality in preparing a presentation about a subject for promotional purposes. Office365 will also be introduced to work in the cloud.

1Ability of the computer basic hardware elements
2Ability to start the Windows operating system, the basic functions of the program to run
3To understand the process of writing, and Word s basic functions using this application, curriculum vitae in the form of articles to prepare
4To understand the basic operations of Excel and using these functions to generate a list
5Using the list created in Excel to solve a problem, to perform calculations and to prepare reports based on the calculation results

Course Contents
• Basic elements of the computer (CPU, motherboard, RAM, hard disk, monitor, floppy disk, CD-ROM, DVD-Rom, CD-Printer, Scanner, Printer, etc. The terms and uses of computer terms are explained with computer parts as applied) . • Use of Internet Explorer and Outlook Express from Internet applications, connect to and retrieve information from Internet addresses, search with Google®, Internet services and uses of Textile Engineering. • Basic features of Microsoft Windows® operating system (Windows 10) (Windows-input, Mouse-Keyboard operations, window opening-closing-sizing-moving operations, Desktop use, My Computer / Explorer use, File-folder creation / copy / move / delete / naming operations) • Use of Word and Excel from Microsoft Office® 2016 Office Programs. (Introduction to Word, basic formatting features, preparing tables in Word, inserting and editing clip art, opening and saving file operations; introduction to Excel, basic cell configuration and formatting features, formula in Excel and use of functions, graphing, solving various problems with Excel functions). • Preparing presentations with Microsoft Powerpoint® (Creating, deleting, editing slides, preparing slides with normal-slide-outline views, color schemes, using templates, using original slide-main title, presentation settings, limitations, creating summary slides, special shows, action settings, animations, opening-saving presentation…)

9Introduction of Ms.Excel, program description, page settings, main page and fill-cell characteristics, Excel data types, cut / copy / paste and mouse/keyboard usage to create a table, coloring, formatting
10Create Excel charts, graphics, setting up the constructionCreating a graphic example with the table shown on the screen and obtaining the same graphics
11Introduction to Excel calculations and formulas, writing formulas and functionsBasic mathematical operations to be performed by using of simple functions
