Objectives of the Course
The fibers used in textile are natural or synthetic macromolecules. To understand the chemical structure and properties of the fibers, it is important to understand the polymer structure. In this course, the structure, properties and reaction types of macromolecules are given.

Course Contents
Basic concepts, polycondensation reactions: Linear and three dimensional polycondensation, polycondensation, techniques, polymerization reactions: Radical chain polymerization: basic information, initiation, growth, transfer and termination, reactions, homogeneous polymerization kinetics, anionic and cationic polymerization, ionic polymerization kinetics, copolymerization: Radical, ionic and graft copolymerization., polymerization techniques.
