Course Contents
Introduction to the concepts, principles, approaches, and issues associated with long staple yarn spinning. The course gives an overview of yarn production processes and the properties of long staple yarns.

2Wool scouring and drying (Contaminants of wool, opening of greasy wool, scouring process, scouring machines, newly developed scouring methods, drying process and machines)Pre-opening machine and parts.
3Wool opening, cleaning and blending, oiling of wool fibres, carding process (Carding action, machine parts of card and their duties) Fearnought opener and machine parts.
