Objectives of the Course
Aims are teaching the concept of statistics, how to present the data, probability and distributions to the students; to introduce the scientific decision by statistical approach; to teach how to analyse the data from the experiments and how to inference the analyzing results.

Introduction to statistics, fundamental statistical terms; pesenting and summarizing data; dscriptive statistics; probability and probability distributions (binomial, poisson and normal); statistical inference, hypothesis testing; relationships among variables (regression and correlation analysis); the analysis of countable data.

 Week Theoretical Practice Laboratory 1 Introduction to statistics; Fundamental statistical terms; Presenting and summarizing data (frequency table) 2 Descriptive statistics 3 Theory of probability 4 Random variables and probability distributions 5 Discrete probability distributions (binomial and poisson distributions) 6 Continuous probability distribution (Normal distribution) 7 Statistical inference, point and interval estimation for population mean, population ratio and population variance 8 Mid-term exam 9 Hypothesis tests, I. and II. type error, power of test 10 Large sample tests (z test), tests for population mean and comparing two population means 11 Small sample tests (t test) 12 Tests for comparing two population means from independent samples, comparing two population means from paired samples 13 Tests for population variance (F test), comparing two population variances (khi-kare testi) 14 Relationships among variables (regression and correlation analysis) 15 Anaysis of countable data (khi-kare analysis) 16 Final exam
