Objectives of the Course
The main aim of the course is to give the students opportunity to recognise virus diseases in vegetables, field crops and fruit trees grown in our country, to apply the methods in the diagnosis and control of these diseases and to realize solving the problem faced on this matter and reporting the results.

2Describe the symptoms of the virus diseases considering the hosts
3Demonstrate the infection sources and the ways of spread and
4Diagnose and identify the virus diseases in the plants and propose the appropriate control measures
5Cooperate the works on the subject and report the results obtained

Course Contents
• The explanatory knowledge about hosts of virus diseases in vegetables, field crops and fruit trees • The information on about geographic distribution, damages, symptoms and hosts of these diseases • Morphology, disease cycles and spread and transmission ways of virus borne pathogens in the plants • The measures to be considered in the control of virus diseases in the plants • For diagnosis and detection of virus diseases of plants, the steps in taking a sample for the study, in the works of field and laboratory and on writing the report
