Objectives of the Course
Plant fungal diseases cause serious problems in the production of cultural plants. The objective of this course is to enable the students to perceive the general concepts of fungal taxonomy and to learn the symptoms and identification of plant fungal diseases regulated according to taxonomical criteria, the biology and especially the way of undergoing the period without the hosts, the cultural, biological and chemical methods that can be used in combatting with the diseases, and to have the capacity to explain and adopt producers on these methods.

1Grouping the causes of diseases according to plant fungal taxonomy criteria and gaining skills on their identification
2Gaining the ability to investigate the factors necessary for succesful management of fungal diseases in a region
3Gaining the ability to explain and train producers on the prevention methods against the disease at the region by making identifications on site
4Gaining the ability to produce rational solutions for environmental friendly agriculture
5Adopting and applying the plant protection principles in organic agriculture
