Objectives of the Course
Introducing CAD system's main parts (digitizer, workstation, plotter), preparing of “Grade Rule Table”, digitizing of patterns, checking, correcting and grading of patterns, marker making and plotting, preparing and grading patterns in CAD systems, giving information about pattern design by using PDS in CAD system, marker making and plotting of a given grade rule table and pattern of a garment in the CAD system, preparing marker plans of different garments.

Course Contents
CAD/CAM/CIM concepts and using in the apparel industry, main parts of CAD system (workstation, digitize, plotter), preparation of main parameter files and standard files in the CAD system, pattern grading methods and grade rule table preparation, pattern digitizing and correcting of digitizing faults, checking and correcting of main and size set patterns, pattern design by using PDS in CAD system, pattern grading in PDS, checking and correcting patterns in PDS, pre-steps for marker making, marker making, setting of main parameters for plotter, plotting of patterns and markers.
