Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to ensure that to recognize the nuclear fuel technology and the basic components (fuel preparation, reprocessing and waste management), to understand the basic information and principles of uranium fuel chemistry, to be informed about conventional nuclear fuel production and to follow developments in this area.

Learning Outcomes
1Being able to understand the basic principles of uranium fuel chemistry.
2Being able to understand and get connection between the main area of nuclear fuel technology (fuel preparation, reprocessing and waste management),
3Being able to understand and follow the basic process in recovery, consantration and raffination of uranium.
4Being able to establish the relationship between stages in conventional nuclear fuel production.
5Being able to apply the uranium and torium analysis method to various area of nuclear fuel technology.
6Being able to follow the new developments in nuclear fuel technology.
7Being able to comprehend the importance of native nuclear fuel production and potential of our country.

Course Contents
Uranium raffination, production of nuclear fuel components, izotopic enrichment methods and isotopic enrichment of uranium, construction of fuel elements, torium and plutonium as nuclear fuel, re-processing of used fuel, re-processing and waste management.
