Objectives of the Course
Objective of this course is to give participants the fundamentals of Total Quality Management with emphasis on contemporary quality planning, control and management approaches, implementations and criticisms.

1To understand the evolution of quality concepts
2To understand the quality paradigms and their differences
3To understand the meaning of empowerment and why it is necessary for effective total quality practice
4To understand the meaning of leadership, and differences between a leader and a managament
5To understand how teams grow and team roles .
6To recognize communication as a team process and learn ways of improving communication skills
7To recognize problem solving and decision making tools widely used by total quality teams
8To understand what quality function deployment is in principle, and how the mechanism works in general
9To become aware of SPC as a process improvement approach
10To become aware of benchmarking process
11To understand how TQM can be implemented
