Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to teach students how various statistical experiments and applications can be done in a computerized environment and to gain the ability of analyzing their own problems by writing code.

Course Contents
The necessity of simulation and its application areas, simulation methods, generating random numbers from some distribution models, simulation in statistics, simulation of some statistical concepts and experiments on computer, system simulation, single-channel and multi-channel systems and their simulation.

 Week Theoretical Practice Laboratory 1 Definition of simulation, its necessity, and its application areas, general information related to the mathematical modeling and simulation of some events. 2 Algorithm design: Applications related to conditional statements and loops 3 Algorithm design: Applications related to arrays and matrices. 4 Random number generation: Discrete distributions 5 Random number generation: Continuous distributions 6 Simulation examples for some random experiments 7 Observing some statistical concepts on computer through simulation. 8 Midterm exam 9 Applications related to limit theorems 10 System simulation and waiting line models 11 Single-channel systems 12 Single-channel systems 13 Multi-channel systems 14 Multi-channel systems 15 Simulation programs for various examples 16 Final exam
