Objectives of the Course
To teach adult training techniques to raise the living standards in rural areas. To get information and skills about carrying out and programming activities that will be held parallel to this purpose. To earn ability to transfer innovations and to ensure behavioral changes for the development of rural people living in rural areas.

Learning Outcomes
1Identify needs of individuals in rural and to prepare extension programs in order to meet the requirements
2Earn ability aimed at introducing and disseminating innovations in rural areas

5Earn and apply agricultural extension approaches applied in Turkey and world
6Earn ability to decide and use methods used in conducting extension studies
7Earn ability to prepare, execute and evaluate extension programs and to serve in rural areas

definition, history and philosophy of agricultural extension; importance, objective, and relationships with other disciplines, contribution of agricultural extension to the rural development, principles of agricultural extension, subject areas, development of agricultural extension systems and approaches in the world and in Turkey, communications techniques, program planning , adult education, promotion and dissemination of innovations, publishing tools and methods, group work techniques, extension program preparation, execution and evaluation
