Objectives of the Course
This is an optional course designed for all faculty students and the aim of this course is to familiarize faculty students with sociological perspective, help them to develop analytical and critical thinking of their own on sociological issues and gain a sociological point of view for interdisciplinary studies

Course Contents
The course content covers following subjects: human as a social being, culture and society, what is sociology? short history of sociological thought, founders of sociology: Comte, Durkheim, Weber, Marks, sociological approaches, Sociological research, Structure and organization of society, Social Groups and Social Institutions, social change, sociology in relation with other social disciplines, discussions on sociological issues in contemporary society
