Objectives of the Course
To examine the history, the achitecture, the administration, the army and preserved works of the Persian Empire occupied all of Anatolia between 546-330 B.C. and to discuss the interaction between the Achaemenid culture and other cultures.

5To be able to examine religion and burial customs in the Achaemenid Empire.
6To be able to determine Akhaemenid works.
7To be able to discuss the interaction between the Akcaemenid and Greek arts.

Course Contents
The history, the administration system, the military system, the architecture, religion and burial customs of the Akhaemenid Empire was founded in 550 B.C. will be discussed. The preserved works in the Achaemenid Empire, especially in Western Anatolia, will be examined and the effects on these works will be discussed.
