Objectives of the Course
The main objective of this course is to contribute students to their identification of organization and working order of museums. The courses provide participants with the broadest possible picture of material context in which they are created and how they are exhibited. The courses combine theoretic studies and practice by visiting different museums in Izmir.

Course Contents
The course covers the history of Museology in Europe and Turkey and mainly focuses on the new approaches and broadening discussions and utilizing a wider scope of methodology. It is planned to be discussed the role of the Museology taking a trans-disciplinary approach to establish continuity between museum and media, culture and tourism.
