Objectives of the Course
This course provides an introduction to the economic issues of the European Union. Firstly, we will try to understand context of E.U. from historical perspective and the structure of its main institutions. Secondly, it will address issues related to the impact of the formation of an economic union on various sectors of the economy, such as agriculture, industry, environment and energy, etc. Particular attention will be paid to macroeconomic themes related to monetary integration. We will further investigate issues concerning enlargement and policies designed to solve problems due to economic integration.
