Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to provide the students with the comprehension about collecting, bringing the material from the nature in the research related with Plant Protection, preserving of these sample, making the whole or partly insect body slides of these samples and the methods of drawing and measurement of the identification characters by using these slides. Besides, at the end of lecture, the students are able to comprehend how they used the knowledge learned in the some basic and applied lectures of Plant Protection Department.

Learning Outcomes
1Use the tools and materials found in the Entomology Laboratory
2Apply and select the accurate methods aimed at the collecting, bringing the material from the fields and preserving of them
3Design the projects/reports/thesis related with the subject, and present these to the scientific world as publication
4Interpret the advanced and current knowledge, principles and techniques in plant protection for making the slides of the insects and drawing of them
5Use the advanced theoretical knowledge at the area of expertise, organize the report or suggestion on the decision of the criteria according to identify for insects
6Make the whole or partly insect body slides and discriminate the accurate techniques according to the diagnosing criteria
7Know the drawing of the identification characters and the measurement techniques

The use of the materials and tools found and necessary to be found in Entomology laboratory, Preparation of laboratory, Collecting, bringing the material from the fields and preserving of them, Techniques for making the insect slides, Mediums using preparing the slides, Some special (aphid, mite, etc) preparation methods, Drawing of taxonomical or morphological characters of some insects
