Objectives of the Course
Sustainability of improving aquaculture industry depends not only on the farms, but also on the feed and species quality. In this respect analysis of feeds and feedstocks, and their quality control, evaluation and preparation of proper feeds and optimal improvement are required. In this course studies on quality production of feeds will be investigated.

Learning Outcomes
1Learning mixed feeds and their plant and animal protein ingredients, in other words learning feedstocks
2Learning all parameters necessary for sustainable aquaculture and interpretation of related data. Giving the skills for problem solving.
3Learning the nutritive properties, ingredients, and properties of non-nitrogen main materials of plant and animal based feedstocks of fish feed
4Feed analysis methods, their practice, evaluation, and interpretation.
5Using alternative feedstocks in fish feed depending on the fish species and doing a literature search and discussion on their effects on the environment
6Discussion on eutriphication and monitoring environmental impact measurement methods, learning related formula and indexes and interpretation.
7Compulsory analysis methods for feedstocks and feeds, affect of these feeds on fish growth, production of quality meat

Students are advised to succeed in Nutrition biochemistry, Feed and Feed Production Technology courses

Course Contents
During this course, feeds that are very important for aquaculture, their feedstocks, constituents, analysis methods, monitoring methods, determination of solutions, quality control in aquaculture for sustainability, and their practices will be given.
