Objectives of the Course
The domestication of a fish species is inevitably followed by selection involving the change of heredity of the cultured species and the development of the offspring adapted to life under new environmental conditions. In this case, genetic is playing a highly important part in the work aimed at planning the catch, prevention of the harmful consequences of selection caused by aquaculture processes. Thus, the objective of this course is to consider genetic bases of fish selection in order to keep sustainability of selection program in any aquaculture environment.

1Genetics and selection of fish and their interest with eachothers will be cleared and ways of solutions will be easier to determine in the future when facing any problems during the selection process in an aquaculture system.
