Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to teach the students the facts on historical, political, economic and cultural structure of independent Turkic State sin Caucasus and Central Asia. Give basic information about the peoples of Turkic origin, who have restricted or no political rights in the globe. The emphasis will be made also their relations to Turkey or versus.

Learning Outcomes
1While graduate is analyzing the phases of the history of the Turkestan can interpret the socio-economic and strategic dimensions of these phases within the framework of causal loyalties.(3, 6)
2 Graduates with a desire to create a continuous learning is a wonder of the Turkestan can add new information about the history of their research to the science of history
3While graduate is doing academic research takes into account the ethics rules of the profession. Especially about using resource and reference apply the rules properly. (14)

Course Contents
This course will focus on the similarities of the Turkish people. The agents which effect on the formation of cultural and national identity will be discussed. It will be focused on the role of memory spaces in the process of construction of national identity. In this context, The memory spaces which effect on construction of national identity will be discussed. Also, internal and external factors affecting the political history of Turkestan will be studied.
