Objectives of the Course
The main aim of the course is to analyze political developments in the world from the Age of Enlightenment to the collapse of the Socialist world.

1Mezun siyasi tarihin anlamını ve dünya siyasi tarihinin temel konularını öğrenir.
2Siyasi tarihin temel kavramları olan siyasallaşma, din, devrim, savaş, ideolojiler gibi temel kavramlar ve bu kavramların dünya siyasetine etkileri hakkında bilgi edinir.
3Mezunlar araştırmalarını yaparken ve ortaya bilimsel metinler koyarken, siyasal yapılar ve sistemler oluşumunu, modernleşme ve ulus-devlet, postmodernizm, savaş ve devrim gibi olguların siyasî tarih üzerindeki etkileri ışığında çağdaş siyasal ve sosyal gelişmeleri yorumlama becerisi kazanırlar.

Course Contents
Graduates learn about the meaning of the political history and the basic topics world political history (1, 2, 3). Graduates get information about the basic terms such as politization, religion, revolution, war, ideologies and the impacts of these terms on world politics (4, 7, 10). Graduates gain the ability of interpretation of contemporary politic and social developments in their researches and scientific texts, in the light of the facts such as modernization and nation-state, post-modernizm, war and revolution, forming political structures and systems (11, 14, 15).
