General Description
History
Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Ege University (E.U.F.E.A.S.) was founded on July 3, 1992. The Faculty comprises three departments: Department of Business Administration, Department of Economics and Department of International Relations.
Qualification Awarded
The Master’s Degree in “Accounting and Finance” (in Business Administration) without thesis is awarded to the graduates who have successfully fulfilled all program requirements.

Specific Admission Requirements
The applicants who hold a Bachelor's Degree and willing to enroll in the Master's program may apply to the Directorate of the Graduate School. Application and registration procedure is implemented in accordance to the regulations of the Institute of Social Sicences of Ege University.
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
The rules for recognition of formal prior learning are well defined. A student who is currently enrolled in a Master's Degree program in the same discipline at another institution and has successfully completed at least one semester, upon submitting all required documents before the deadline, may transfer to the Master's Program at EGE University upon the recommendation of the department administration and with the approval of the Administrative Committee of the Graduate School. The decision taken will also include eligibility for exemption from some course requirements of the graduate program. Students who transfer from another university must be successful in the EGE University English Proficiency Exam or in an equivalent English examination. Recognition of prior non-formal and in-formal learning is at the beginning stage in Turkish Higher Education Institutions. Ege University is not an exception to this.
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The program consists of a minimum of 10 courses delivered within the graduate program of the department and in related fields, one seminar course, and thesis, with a minimum of 30 local credits and 90 ECTS credits. The seminar course and projects are non-credit and graded on a pass/fail basis. Students have to successfully pass all the couses and projects.
Profile of The Programme
Due to the change in competetion structure, prospective managers and administrators need to be intellectual and entrepreneurial individuals. In this regard, a modern business administration program structure should be prepared by taking these local and global developments into consideration. From this point of view, the aim of Master of Accounting and Finance Program without Thesis is to develop people in the field of Accounting and Finance and adapt them to increasing global competition by enlarging their mentality and providing a flexible mindset. We believe that we educate our students in the light of 21. century’s modern business approaches and develop their skills in paralel with major developments via the courses offered within the context of the program.

Access to Further Studies
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students are required to take a mid-term examination and/or complete other assigned projects/homework during the semester and, additionally, are required to take a final examination and/or complete a final project for course evaluation. The final grade is based on the mid-term examination grade, the final examination grade and/or evaluation of final project, with the contributions of 40% and 60%, respectively. To pass any course, a Master's student must receive at least 70 out of 100. Students must repeat courses they have failed or may substitute courses the Department accepts as equivalent. The assessment for each course is described in detail in “Individual Course Description”.

Facilities
In our department there are various clubs which are related with sub-divisions of Business Administration. Students can take a part in the activities of these clubs in the light of their area of interest. By means of symposiums and congresses, spekaers are invited to our faculty and students have the chance of chasing the developments in practice as well as in theory.
