Master's Degree Program is represented within the department of Economics in the Graduate School of Social Sciences.

Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Recognition of Prior Learning are explained in the subtitle "General Arrangements for Recognition of Prior Learning" in the Ege University Information Package http://ebys.ege.edu.tr/ogrenci/ebp/general-arrangements.htm. Besides, arrangements are also presented in the Ege University Graduate Regulation (http://oidb.ege.edu.tr/egeoidbalt.asp?xon=192&alt=207).
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The aim of the Master’s degree programme is enabling students to access knowledge by doing scientific research activities, to evaluate the information and gain commentary competence. The program is at least subject to 21 local credits including 7 courses, seminar course, specialized field course and thesis study, whic is composed in total 120 ECTS credit. Required competence condition for the graduation is accomplishing all the courses, having at least a grade of 2.00 over 4.00 and finishing the master thesis successfully.
Profile of The Programme
The aim of the programme is to educate the Bachelor’s degree graduate students in the field of management-organization as a person who has a flexible frame of mind, competent in his/her field and able to adapt to the increasing level of global competition conditions.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of the MS in economics are trained to be able to take up suitable positions at the private sector, the public sector, international institutions and also international markets. The graduates of MS program may also further study for the Ph. D. inorder to improve their academic career..
Access to Further Studies
Graduates who completed the Master's Degree successfully may apply to doctorate (third cycle) programmes in the same or in related disciplines under the conditions of getting the valid scores in the “ALES” exam and providing the competence of foreign language. In case of being successful in interviews, they are all accepted in the programmes.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Assessment and evaluation of a course contains midterm, other educational term activities, final and make-up examinations. Lecturer of the course determine the contribution percents of educational activities and final exam to overall passing grade before the enrollment week and announce the percents at least in the first week of the semester to the students. 40 percent- 70 percent of the midterm and other activities, 60 percent- 30 percent of the final and make-up examinations should add up to overall passing grade. By participating the various symposiums and conferences held at the faculty, students have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge on the recent developments, both political and theoretical, in the field of economics.

4Formulise economic problems by using mathematical, statistical and econometrical analytical tools and make prıdential projections.
5Make predictions by analysing the national and international economic indicators.
6Analyse national and international economical and social issues, question and make comments on them.
7Make comments on economical and social issues within the historical perspective and make historical analyses towards the current problems
8Make an analysis related to problems in the area of economic growth and development.
9Question the role of the concepts of innovation, creativity, and techniques in the dynamic global economy.
10Establish the relationship between the economics and other fields. Prepare a thesis on an economic subject.
