History
Human Studies in Social Sciences Master’s Program began in 2013.
Qualification Awarded
Alumnis who graduates successfully are given a masters degree of Human Studies in Social Sciences.

Specific Admission Requirements
Applicants should have bachelor’s degree. Also, they should have an intellectual interest to the area. Applicants are invited to the interview by the jury.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
The program includes minimum of twelve courses that consist of 30 local credits and a term project. The Master’s program consists of compulsory and optional courses. The total ECTS credits for the program is 90. Besides mid-term and final exams, reports, homework assignments, quizes, seminar presentations and projects can be used for performance evaluation of students duing the term. Minimum of 70 points over 100 is required for student to be considered as succesful for the course.
Profile of The Programme
Human Studies in Social Sciences Master’s program is an intellectual development program. For this reason it includes courses from multi-disciplines and schools. The aim of the program is not gaining expertise over given areas but assisting the participants create healthy and permanent bonds with the given disciplines and perspectives. The primary purpose of the courses is constituting public image of science and philosophy from scientific and philosophical perspective.

The program does not aim gaining expertise or career development per se but it indirectly contributes to work life and occupational domain.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
Students are required to take a mid-term examination and/or complete other assigned projects/homework during the semester and, additionally, are required to take a final examination and/or complete a final project for course evaluation. The final grade is based on the mid-term examination grade, the final examination grade and/or evaluation of final project, with the contributions of 40% and 60%, respectively. To pass any course, a Master's student must receive at least 70 out of 100. Students must repeat courses they have failed or may substitute courses the Department accepts as equivalent. The assessment for each course is described in detail in “Individual Course Description”.
