Objectives of the Course
The aim is to teach pathologic basis of disease and the sequence of events in the response of tissues.

Learning Outcomes
1To understand mechanisms of development of cell injury, cellular responses to stress and toxic insults and morphological changes due to cell injury
2To explain inflammation, the process of inflammation and tissue repair
3To explain general principles of immunological system and immunological mechanisms in the diseases
4To discuss and learn adverse drug reactions and types of specific organ pathology
5To explain main concepts of neoplasia, main principles of terminology in neoplasia, role of pathologist in cancer treatment, significance of epidemiology in cancer, main principles of carcinogenesis
6To understand the body fluids, and the disturbances affecting the body in case of the disease and to learn hemodynamic disorders
7To explain general principles of infectious disease pathogenesis, categories of infectious agents, tissue response and changes in some common infectious diseases from pathology’s point of view
