Objectives of the Course
The aim of the course is to provide an understanding of educational pathways in pharmacy, introduction to the profession of pharmacy including its history, development, regulation, ethical foundations, current scope of practice, to instruct in the role of the pharmacist in contemporary health care and career opportunities in the field.

Course Contents
The profession and education of pharmacy, its history, development and ethical basics, basic terminology of pharmaceuticals, information sources of drugs, the role of pharmacists in drug industry, academia, pharmacy and hospital pharmacy, contemporary pharmacy practices in the world and their comparison with practices in our country.
