Objectives of the Course
The objectives of this course are: i) to teach the fundamental concepts of biology of seedless plants, together with up-to-date terminology; ii) to show the amazing biological diversity among cryptogams, as well as the differences between their life cycles; iii) to be able to identify organisms having economical value, and to determine their ecological properties; iv) to teach how we can benefit from these organisms in terms of biotechnology; and v) to show the function(s) of these organisms in nature.

Learning Outcomes
1To be able to learn the fundamental concepts of biology of seedless plants
2To be able to understand the interactions between seedless plants and other organisms
3To be able to study the differences between seedless plants and higher plants.
4To be able to learn various features of seedless plants living in different environmental conditions (land, sea or freshwater)
5To be able to recognize organisms having economical value.
6To have a comprehensive understanding of metagenesis and life cycles.
7To be able to understand how different organs of these plants are affected during the course of evolution.
8To be able to learn the importance of these organisms in terms of biodiversity.
