Objectives of the Course
The students learn textile engineering job, with all the responsibilities in a real world. They are prepared to take responsibilities in a production process from the raw material to the end-product. They learn about feasibility, research&development, planning and design, production and control. They gain sensitivity about professional ethics, human health, work safety, quality and environment. They learn about work discipline, team work, interdisciplinary work, individual proficiency, human relations by observing and living. They develop oral and written communication skills. They realize the importance of computer usage and foreign language proficiency. They are prepared for the professional life.

Course Contents
- At the end of summer practice in a textile plant, a student recognizes almost all the fields that a textile engineer may work at, learns almost all the machines, gets use to work with these machines and systems, learns about the issues such as professional ethics, human health, work safety, quality, environment, work discipline, team work, interdisciplinary work, individual proficiency, human relations by observing and living.

1Learning about the plant and staff, structure of the plant, machine lines, flow of work Practices in spinning and weaving units
2Production examining, analysis of the problems faced in the production and solutions. Getting informations about the machines and adjusting these machinesPractices in knitting and finishing units
3Working in the production and production control. Making quality control of the products besides these works.Practices in non-woven + air condition system and apparel making units
4Examination of design unit, purchasing, selling and marketing departments. Learning about environmental health and worker securities. Learning about end product controls.
