Objectives of the Course
This course is aimed to comprehensive the structure of Turkish economy. The applied economical policies in Turkey from 1923 up to present, development of its economy, the structure of all sectors and the development plans is analyzing in this context.

Economic structure of Ottoman period and transition to Turkish Republic economy; Economic structure of Turkish republic between 1923-1932 (I. Liberal period); Economic structure of 1933-1949 period (controlled economy); Economic structure of 1950-1960 period (II. Liberal period); Transition to planned period; Concept of plan, kinds of plans, the reasons of planning; Characteristics of Turkey’s development plans and its common features; Economic structure of Turkey in planned periods (1-8. Five year development plans); Economic transformation after 1980 and effects of January 24th decisions to Turkey’s economic structure; General characteristics of economy after 1990 (transition to new economic order)
