Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is to provide students who will be working in community pharmacies, to be able to comprehend the history and organization of health services in Turkey, where pharmacies stand in this system, social security systems, health economy and its relationship with pharmacy services, incorporation processes of pharmacies, modern orientations/trends, planning and management of drug purchase process and their delivery to patients, staff management and public relations in pharmacy services; to be able to defend professional policies by understanding organization characteristics and global working strategies of pharmaceutical industry; to be able to understand politic body of pharmaceutical profession, relations between colleagues, deontologic and ethic considerations regarding pharmacy practice along with basic principles and current issues regarding management and organization of community pharmacy services.
