Objectives of the Course
The objective of this course is, to provide information to the students whom will be trained as “hospital pharmacists” on basic and current constitutional and organizational aspects such as: 1) history and organization of health care services in Turkey, 2) recent health care policies, 3) differences between local primary care clinics and family medicine, 4) role of pharmacists in the system, 5) right for health, 6) hallmarks of health care services, 7) social security systems, 8) health economy and its relation with pharmacy services, 9) structure and organization of inpatient services, 10) structure of hospital pharmacy, 11) planning and management of processes starting from purchase of medicines to the delivery to patients, 12) public relations in inpatient services 13) management of medicines, medical devices and stock control, 14) role of pharmacists in safe drug use, 15) constitution of annual work plans in hospital pharmacy.
