Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to study the basic concepts, rules and the institutions of communications law and the jural regulations in Turkish law about freedom of communication and institutions and corporations of media, to teach the press regime, freedom of communication, jural and administrative structures of the press institutions, jural and penal responsibility in press, the right of response and correction, basic jural regulations about litigation and prosecution To teach the jural process of broadcasting of public and private televisions and radios, and the regulator institutions and corporations of this process To teach the cinema and internet regime and and their jural regulations

11. The student who attends this course has a general information about mass communication systems and their jural regulations.
22. The student who attends this course gets awareness of social responsibility and press ethic.
33. The student who attends this course find solutions for the problems about communications law in national and international fields, freedom of press and expression
44. The student who attends this course learns all the jural process, controlling mechanisms and operations of the institutions and corporations in the mass communication field.

Course Contents
The course contains the concept of freedom of press and expression which are a part of basic human rights, jural regulations in mass communication systems, basic concepts in press regime, periodic journals, jural parts of the press regime which contains the responsibilities of punishment and law in press, Jural processes on private radio and television broadcasting and the structure of RTUK, Jural processes on public broadcasting and the structure of TRT, Cinema regime and controlling system in cinema, Internet regime and controlling system in internet broadcasting.
