Objectives of the Course
Seaman training is of essential importance for fisheries engineering students to works on board. During the course, the students learn terms of seaman, Duties of seaman on board, seaman knots, ropes and their using, anchoring and International regulations for preventing collisions at sea.

Course Contents
Marine basic information, ship structures and parts, Sailor terms, Sailor's duties and responsibilities, Sailor knots, the ship docking and departure maneuvers, Iron and anchorages, Role drills: sea man rescue, fire, abandon ship. Attitudes in the ship maintenance and repair work. Basic mechanical knowledge. Conflict prevention and enforcement rules.
