Course Contents
Concepts used in statistics, the organization of the data collected, and the prevalence of central measures, concept of probability, binomial, Poisson and normal distributions, sampling distributions, parametric and nonparametric tests, regression and correlation analysis.
Weekly Detailed Course Contents
 Week Theoretical Practice Laboratory 1 Basic concepts, measures and measurement types. 2 Arrangement of data: frequency tables and graphs 3 Position measurements in quantitative and qualitative data. 4 Quantitative and qualitative measures of changes in the data. 5 Probability and probability distributions, Binomial and Poisson distribution. 6 Normal distribution and properties 7 MID-TERM EXAM 8 Sampling distributions. 9 Estimation, hypothesis testing and confidence intervals for the average population. 10 The confidence intervals of the mean difference of two population and hypothesis testing. 11 Percentage of population to the percentage difference between the two populations the confidence intervals and hypothesis testing. 12 Chi-square analysis, analysis of cross tables 13 Simple linear regression model, hypothesis testing and estimation of population parameters, Correlation analysis. 14 Analysis of variance (ANOVA). 15 Nonparametric methods, and life science applications. 16 FINAL EXAM
