Course Contents
This course is aimed to introduce the students to some of the fundamental concepts of remote sensing and its application to fisheries. The main topics in this course are follows; historical overview of remote sensing applications; basic remote sensing terminology; conventional fish finding sonars; marine environment and environmental parameter mostly used fish behavior and abundance; airborne remote sensing; active satellite remove sensing applications; passive satellite remove sensing applications; processing and analyzing digital images; remote sensing applications to fisheries
