Objectives of the Course
In this course students will know the research literature to introduce of the major trends, such as technology entegration, learning theories and issues in science education. Students should be familiar with the current trends and research about science, science learning, science teaching, and the global contexts for science education. This knowledge is essential for educators whether they work in formal or non-formal educational settings. By using the research base, educators can be more successful in helping their students understand critical scientific concepts and the world around them. They will understand STS (science-technology-society), global problems and learn how to evaluate these problems by using scientific process skills.
