Objectives of the Course
The main aim of the course is to give the students opportunity to tell the fundamental properties, to recognise viroid diseases in important cultivated plants grown in our country, to apply the methods in the diagnosis and control of these diseases and to realize solving the problem faced on this matter and reporting the results.

1Define basic properties of viroids and the viroid diseases in plants
2Describe the symptoms of the viroid diseases considering the hosts
3Demonstrate the infection sources and the ways of spread and transmission of viroid diseases in the plants
4Cooperate the works on the subject and report the results obtained
5Diagnose and identify the viroid diseases in the plants and propose the suitable control measures

The basic knowledge about viroids The information on geographic distribution, damages, symptoms and hosts of these diseases Morphology, disease cycles and spread and transmission ways of viroids in the plants The measures to consider the control of viroid diseases in the plants For diagnosis and detection of viroid diseases of plants, the steps in taking a sample for study in the works of field and laboratory and on writing the report
