Objectives of the Course
The main objectives of this course areknowing the archives which the Ottoman documents kept and containing documents there; and examining writing variations, techniques and types of the documents. After learning the archival sources it will be given practical using knowledge about the utilization of these sources in writing history.

It will be examined to use the Ottoman archival documents in historiography by emphasizing surviving Ottoman archival documents.
